Around thirty students from the Department of Transition and Energy Efficiency in Bourg-en-Bresse, accompanied by six of their professors, conducted an energy assessment of the Jean Gallet chalet.
Luc, our chef, and the Alumni President were present to welcome them on Monday, April 7th. In the afternoon, a short hike in the snow allowed them to explore the chalet's surroundings. The assessment work began Tuesday morning. The initial report they gave us on Tuesday evening shed light on many points, while we await the final report to provide details of the work of the various study groups.
Although our formulas for thermosetting and other materials were a little off at the time of the presentation, we will soon be able to move forward with our discussions and quickly define a work schedule for the chalet, estimate priorities, and begin the initial work.
The students put forward some ideas we hadn't otherwise considered, and this reinforces our belief that we must continue the discussion with them and perhaps also with other departments at the IUT.
In short, a very successful event for everyone, a conclusive experience that we can easily repeat. The IUT can be proud of its teams.
