 How AlumnIUT-Lyon1 works

The main events and activities we organize:

  • Every November 11th: Association General Meeting at the Gratte-Ciel premises
  • In December, we invite the students working on our projects to a friendly integration meal
  • Every spring: Maintenance weekend at our Lauzet chalet (we correct the negative effects of winter stays)
  • Every fall: Maintenance weekend at our Lauzet chalet (we correct summer problems and prepare the chalet for winter)
  • Every year in June: We organize, in partnership with the IUT and the Student Unions, a festive evening alternating between one of the three IUT sites (in 2026 it will be Boyrg en Bresse)
  • Every year in early July: We organize a summer picnic with the IUT management teams and staff alternating between one of the three IUT sites (in 2026, we return to the Gratte-Ciel site)
  • In September: We organize a specific evening for new members of the Association

Our goals

Bringing together former students from the three IUT Lyon1 sites: La Doua, Gratte-Ciel and Bourg en Bresse, the AlumnIUT-Lyon1 has the following main objectives:

- To facilitate intergenerational exchanges between students, working people and retirees in order to share everyone's experiences and knowledge and to do this, to network alumni in professional activity with students currently in school or continuing their studies

- To allow alumni to meet classmates and keep in touch with them.

- To make the Lauzet gîte (05 Hautes-Alpes), which we have owned since 1960, available to students through the BDEs and alumni associations of the departments for the organization of ski weekends, hiking or for event communication at a preferential rate.
